Cutting Down: Smoking Log — last updated 23 August 2026
The app stores the counts you tap — which item, on what day, at what time if a time was recorded — and which items you have chosen to track, in what order. That is the whole of it.
The app saves one thing using iOS's standard settings storage: whether an iCloud account was available the last time it checked, so it knows which storage to open at launch. It stays on your device and is never transmitted.
The month summary is turned into a PDF on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there is entirely your choice — mail, messages, a file, a printer. The app does not send it anywhere on its own and keeps no copy of what you shared or who you shared it with.
The app asks for no permissions. It does not use the camera, the microphone, your photo library, your contacts, your location, notifications, or your health data.
The app is free. It offers an optional one-time tip to support development, which unlocks nothing. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details, and we receive no personal information about you from a purchase. Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction.
The app collects nothing from anyone. Because it records cigarettes and nicotine products, it carries an age rating on the App Store and is not directed at children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. If a future version of the app ever collects data — it does not today — this page will say so before that version ships.
